A world-class tourism resort in Osun in 2017

A first-rate mini city tourism resort in Ikirun, Osun is to be created in 2017, as planned by Webisco International Federation of Women Entrepreneurs and Tourism of Nigeria. This was disclosed by Margaret Fabiyi, president of the tourism firm in Lagos yesterday.

This resort buildup will be starting January 2017 and expected to be completed by October 2017. The resort will be built across 25 hectares of land, which was secured with the support and assistance of the traditional ruler of Ikirun, Oba Olayiwola Adedeji.

Fabiyi said that this resort will improve tourism and cultural image of this ancient town and when completed, would attract millions of local and global tourists to Osun state. She said that the project will be funded through assistance of local and foreign investors. There will also be film, health and games villages, a mini museum, an art gallery, bar, hotels, a recreational centre and other attractions. The best part is, this project would create work opportunities for youths in the community and increase government revenue. It would be preferred tourist destination in the country.
